Hi, I’m Taylor, Founder of ModWell Hair
ModWell Hair Co. provides professional mobile hair services throughout Portland and surrounding communities, specializing in care for people receiving hospice services, recovering from surgery, or facing mobility limitations. We believe everyone deserves access to quality hair care that supports their comfort, confidence, and dignity.
Why I Started Offering Haircuts for Hospice and Homebound Clients
This work began during the pandemic, when I was in cosmetology school and working in a care facility. I noticed residents weren’t getting access to basic haircuts, so I asked the director if I could step in. It felt incredibly meaningful to offer that care, and I realized how important it is (both physically and emotionally) for people to feel clean and seen.
I later worked in a traditional salon, but I missed those deeper connections. That’s why I returned to this work full-time. Now, I serve people not just in care facilities, but also those at home, throughout the greater Portland metro area.
Trained, Licensed, and Compassionate In-Home Haircare
I’ve been a licensed hairstylist since 2020, and I also have CNA training, including experience in memory care. I understand how to adapt to mobility limitations and create a calm, respectful experience—whether someone is in a bed, wheelchair, or favorite chair in their living room.
Local and Personal: Serving Portland, Salem, McMinnville, and Beyond
Based in Portland, Oregon, ModWell Hair Co. provides on-site hair care throughout the metro area and nearby communities, including Beaverton, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, McMinnville, Salem, and Vancouver, Washington.
We partner with hospice organizations, including Vista River Hospice and Tenderly Hospice, to bring professional haircuts and grooming directly to clients. We coordinate with families and care teams to provide personalized service in homes and care communities.

When I’m not working, I love exploring the outdoors with my dog and sharing good meals with friends. This work is close to my heart, and I approach every visit with patience, kindness, and a genuine desire to make someone’s day a little brighter.
